Erskineville Interiors

Well, I’ve been remiss in updating again – because I’ve been MOVING HOUSE!!! We’re  back in Newtown, having lived 3 and a half years in Erskineville. But before I show piccies of the new place, I should showcase my interior design at the ole place, as it really was pretty spectacular upstairs with the glass-filled conversion and all.

Those familiar with my old blog would already have seen my Interiors posts. Most girlies are especially enamoured of my glamorous dressing room with its wall of shoes (earlier post here).

Starting with the living room:

Living Room

I painted the wall behind the sofa a lovely charcoal, and used teal wallpaper with metallic gold design on the facing wall, which you can see better here:

Technically 3 bedrooms, it was really a 2 bedder with study. Our main bedroom:

Bed 1

The front room downstairs was staged for sale as a bedroom:

I ACTUALLY used it as a dressing room, with the aforementioned wall of shoes:

Though the kitchen was nothing spesh,

we did paint the dining room a lovely fresh green colour, which really lifted it:

We had a lovely large bathroom with bath, which I miss (as well as its abundant storage):

Since this house is smaller, I’m going to have to be very canny with storage options..which I’m sure will make for some posts in the near future. And I’ve been looking at ways to decorate rentals, since we are now renting and not allowed to do a lot of permanent stuff. I have already decorated the downstairs toilet with beautiful tile decals from etsy…but more on that later!

Do you have any handy tips to decorate and organise a rental, be it removable wallpaper, colourful soft furnishings, ikea hacks, clever storage and the like?

I loved the way you styled your love place. I can’t wait to own my own house one day so I can use wallpaper!! Looking forward to seeing what you do with your new place!

Hey, I know I replied to this, but the internet goblins must have eaten it! Thank you, firstly 🙂 Oh, I LOVE wallpaper, and yes, the new rented place is a challenge what with not being able to put wallpaper up, picture hooks in walls, etc…but I’m finding ways to add colour. IN fact, have started a post already!
